Woke up to room moving

Not spinning but moving left to right in the half light. BP was 205/90 but calmed down later. I think my BP goes up some in the early hours but only occasionally.

Put on Ramipril but don't like them.

Anyone else with this experience?

Yes. I had this a few months ago. Ran gmy heart nurse and she said it is not heart but probably labarynthitis ........an inbalance in the ear canal.Doc. confirmed this and gave me meds which clearet it up quite quickly.

Thanks for that. Odd that mine coincided with high BP as I've not had it before. Maybe the pressure in the ear then. Not recurred yet.

It can be quite dangerous to be unbalance. That is how I felt.So do consult your GP if it doesn't go away.

Hi, I experienced this a while back. On moving my head in the morning, I felt that the room was moving, but for me it was moving like a film reel [in jolts and starts] and I felt extremely sick for a few seconds. The doctor said it was 'benign positional vertigo' and he did some exercises to confirm this which involved me moving my head while lying down. Look on the internet to see if this describes your feeling.

I regularly get BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo). It happens to me when I'm lying down and turn over in bed but it can happen when upright and move your head. It's caused by crystals in the inner ear and is sadly a symptom of getting old 😕. There's a manoeuvre called the Epley manoeuvre which works wonders for me. There are YouTube videos on how to do it. I had this before any medication for my heart.
