Hello,
I’ve posted previously on here and received some very kind comments.
I’ve recently had the results of my TOE back.
It says the following:
LV: Appears dilated with preserved ejection fraction ( >60%). No regional wall motion abnormalities. Preserved wall thickness.
MV: Normal Structure, opens well with no regurgitation.
AV: Anatomically bicuspid valve with R-L orientation. Opens well. Coaptation defect at posterior aspect of coaptation line resulting in severe eccentric jet of aortic regurgitation directed posterorly and impinging upon the -anterior mitral leaflet.
Large PISA with estimated EORA 0.57cm2 and regurgitation volume 105ml.
Normal calibre aortic root and ascending aorta. No coarctation identified.
Right heart: normal RV size and contraction. No significant TR or AR. Intact IAS. Normal LA appendage.
There is remodelling of LV but preserved Ejection Fraction. No Aortopathy identified.
Can anyone help? Appreciate this isn’t forum for medical advice and no comments will be treated as such. My Cardiologist doesn’t seem overly concerned despite it saying moderate to severe aortic regurgitation. I am still waiting to follow up with him after cardiac mri scan.
