Reveal loop monitor

Hi, I had a Medtronic loop monitor fitted this week . All went well and I have a patient assistance device as well to is e if I’m out and feel unwell. My question is how do I download the information from it to the monitor so the dr can see it ? I have phoned the hospital and asked but I did t understand what they said it’s all very technical. Also I have to do a download in a months time so does this mean it will send all the info from a months worth of monitoring. If anyone can give me any info I would be pleased as this is making me more anxious so having more palpitations!!!! a vicious circle !!!!!

Hi, I have the same device. My understanding is that it uploads automatically every night to the monitor that you keep on your bedside table. If everything is fine, then it wipes the data every 24 hours. But if you activate the patient assist gadget, because you have palpitations, it will keep that recording. I was recently admitted to hospital with palpitations. Someone from cardiology came a day or two later with a device they held against my chest and they took a reading from the time in question.

Thanks for that info. Do I have to do anything with the patient assist gadget after I have used it ?

No. They don’t explain things very well when they give you these things, do they? I wasn’t entirely sure the system was working at all, but my recent experience proved it was all working properly.
