Hi I had a successful Triple Bypass August '20 and made excellent recovery. Post 6 months walking 2 to 4 miles a day. I am 74 and even returned to my business helping manufacture furniture. But for the last 6 months I have given up working as it was too much and my Cardiac walk has got gradually much slower and shorter. Three weeks ago I had a significant Angina attack. Later I phoned my GP who saw me same day and gave me an urgent referral back to my Cardiac Consultant. They I presume downgraded it to a two month appointment rather than two weeks. But my walking is getting even slower (probably now ¾ mile at about only 2mile an hour). I know I also had a leaking Aorta valve and my internal echo in theatre immediately before my op showed they dd not need to replace as well.
I am hoping for just a med change but realise it could be more serious. Any thoughts from anyone?

I also am 74. Very successful AVR April 2020. August 2020 Walking a mile or so, felt on top of the world. But then my fitness went down and down, now I can only walk a quarter mile.
I did not get rehab and maybe that’s an issue.
I too hope for a medication change.
I am also trying to guess if the problem is heart, which I do not think likely, or a stroke six years ago. Or just getting old.
Thank you for your reply and I wish you well. My appointment is March 24 and I will post how I get on. My BP is also raised and my GP increased one BP med, but still too high.
Ditto, BP high. 10mg Ramipril doesn’t seem to bring it down. Relaxation works for me. I also take a low dose of bisoprolol and I am not sure what his does.
