Hi, Just started 24 mg of Entresto today. Is any one else on it please?. The number of side effects is making me think twice about taking it.
Regards.

I've been on the maximum dose for nearly a year, with no side-effects. The leaflet with any drug always seems to give a huge list. Perhaps others can share their experiences.
Hi I've been on it for a couple of years now. Been on the max dose, but recently reduced to 49/51mg. It's improved my ef from 35 to 42 and has had a positive impact on my heart failure. My dosage was reduced due to my blood pressure dropping too low, so keep an eye on that. You should try it and if it's not for you then you can stop. But give it a good go, it does take time to adjust. It is also quite expensive so they don't prescribe it lightly. Good luck 👍
Hi there I was initially on ramipril then in July 21 changed to 24/26 of entresto twice a day my hf nurse said it is a wonder drug, the good results from it out way the bad, felt crap for a week or so then settled down, still have regular blood tests , later upped to 49/51 less problems as already in my system & yesterday started highest dose so far so good my ef had gone from 24/49 so my meds are helping, stick with it just see if things settle before giving up 🤞🏻
Hi Its a bit of a marmite drug, I gather. I've been taking it for over a year and now on highest dose. Dropped my BP like a stone to begin with, but that has improved (still in the lowish range 90+/58+, but I can happily live with that). Its been a wonder drug....my ef has gone from 40 to 49 where it is now stable. I feel so much better, can do so much more. If you can tolerate it its so worthwhile. Not everyone can tolerate it. Had some difficulties getting GP to prescribe it in the first instance, but they are ok about doing that now and cardiologist says that in his experience most GPs now used to managing it......I do hope that you are ok taking it.
I’ve been on a 49/51 dose for about 5 months and no bad side effects so far.
Been on it 7 months, twice a day, as far as i can see no side effects and the benefits far out way any negatives.Give it a go, it's a no brainer and for what it's worth (my non medical opinion alone), nothing to lose but a lot to gain.
I’ve been on the lowest dose for years now, I’m was on the Revive trial at my local hospital. I had no problems on the lowest dose and felt so much fitter, I wasn’t able to tolerate the higher dose as my blood pressure dropped so I was moved to the surgical side of the trial. If I need to in the future I would try the higher dose again, I can’t take Ramipril or Statins due to side effects so I like you am wary about what I will put in my body but if the blood pressure does drop low once you stop the Entresto it soon goes back to normal and after all these years my liver/kidney blood test results are good.
I've been on 49/51 for 3yr had no problems
Been on full dose for over a year and no problems so far.
Husband been in middle dose for about 6 months. He’s had no problems with it apart from his BP dropping a little bit. Otherwise no issues at all. Consultant and HF nurse says it’s a gold standard drug for HF. Don’t let the list of side effects put you off.
Thanks everbody for your imput Started taking Entresto this morning
Feeling so much better on Entresto and improvement continued through increased dose. Now on top dose. Weighing the tolerable side effects and the health improvements against past medication regimes Entresto is by far the better option!
My husband has been on Entresto since August last year with no ill effects. Started on 24/26 and increased to 49/51 in October. He's doing well and I hope you will feel the benefits too.
Best wishes
Just come home form A & E. Spent the past 10 hours there. at 4am this morning my BP took a dive and I passed out Blue lights to Torbay hospital. They have now taken off these tablets. Now waiting to hear from my nurse in the morning.
