2 months into suspected ‘mild’ perimyocarditis and failing to make progress in recovery….

I've been on a ketogenic style diet now for around 16 months. It has certainly helped with a number of inflammatory issues I was struggling with. I can't comment specifically on cardiac inflammation. I would have thought though that cutting out inflammatory and processed foods has to be a good thing.

Thanks Supafil. I’ve tried it a couple of times whilst healthy and found fitness benefits but curious about inflammatory conditions. No worries about commenting if it’s too personal but what issues did it help with?

A lot of it is in my profile. I have mast cell dysfunction which means I frequently have systemic inflammation (skin, joints, gastrointestinal, dry eyes). I haven't cured any of this but I'd estimate a 2/3rds improvement in the severity of the symptoms.

Two thirds improvement is amazing- well done! Best of luck unlocking that last 1/3. :)

I have just lowered my carbs / little or no bread and it’s a big help.

That’s interesting Peter, thanks. I too have noticed that sugar (and lots of carbs) correlates with worse days.
