So Christmas is behind us. the food we probably should not even think about, let alone eat.
Seeing family and friends (and having to show them the'scar') the obligatory mince pies (sorry mr R) and too much vino.
And the gifts, a new circular saw from my wife,a 18volt battery for my Makita kit from my stepdaughter, boxes of screws, nails and work gloves the family is well trained no socks or shower smellys ,a decent malt is acceptable but basically I like to receive tools, useful and something that I will actually use.
But one gift that I really didn't want, Billy the little boy from next door,he is a really good lad and spends a lot of time with us.
He gave me a new lump hammer and a really really bad cold (not 'C') just a bad sneezey cold , can you see were I am going yet?.
Cabg x4+ lots of sneezing= the seventh level of hell Dante missed this one, the cough is not too nice but the sneezing Bob Mortimer described it as a sniper round to the chest he was wrong it a RPG.
But having had a bit of a ramble.
The pain in my sternum, that is the odd bit, Mr'R' went in with the 🪚on the left and as a result that's were the wires are so you might think that the pain would be left centric.
It's the right hand side, the side that the Italian with the saw didn't do, now don't get me wrong I don't want ANY issues with his excellent workmanship, it's just not what I expected.
Thanks a bunch Billy
Happy new year to you all.

That was very 'considerate' of young Billy to share his sneezes!!
I am a 'sneezer' , I get 2 or 3 sneezing fits a day consisting of about 10 a time BUT..... after my bypass they seemed to disappear for several weeks (they did comeback) but I was so lucky as I was really afraid of the damage they could do.
When I had pain there was no rhyme or reason which side it would be but luckily they do a very good job and hopefully a few sneezes won't cause any damage.
I hope the sneezes are easing (or stopped) I found wearing a mask protected me from more than just Covid!
Take it easy and a happy 2022!
PS out of curiosity did you have your op in the Bristol Heart Institute? The reason I ask is you refer to the Italian with the saw and when my brother was a patient in there I realised there were a lot of Italian Cardiac doctors there.
