Sleeping pattern disorder. Update

Thought it might be interesting to give update. Operation 2Nov 21. Initially disturbed by hallucinations but they have passed now. Sleeping pattern is still major problem. Lucky if I get a couple of hours sleep in 24 and as a result I’m seriously sleep deprived and feel I’m losing the plot. Trying melatonin but it doesn’t work for me. Anyone been in these dark zones before. Any interventions.

Dear Mog06

I feel for you as I remember going through a similar situation.

I was told that this was a very common thing after having anaesthetic for the operation. Not that the information helped at all.

My GP prescribed a sleeping tablet { sorry have forgotten it’s name } for only three nights but it was enough to get me back into a sleep pattern.

Many say that the situation changes with time but I for one was not willing to wait for that to happen.

I can get though most things, but take away my sleep and I throw my toys out of my pram.

Good luck, you are in my thoughts

Thanks for your reply. It does help to know that it will end. I think I’ll press a bit harder for some medication. Lack of sleep grinds you down.Regards,

Ross
