Ejection Fraction can be classify as reduced below 40%, Midrange 40% - 49% & Preserved at 50% Take a look at definition of Heart Failure stages/class 1 - 4 ( New York Heart Association where stage/class 1 would would/should be affected by this stage if on stage 2 or above should have felt the effect of a stage 2 or above diagnosis
Definite part of close watch like11 if this is the same thing they told me that no ones ef is 100% more like santino says 40-50% but I think when it is like 12% or maybe 17% Thats when you're in a bit of a situation like as long as it is increasing to the 29% as I seem to remember IT is a lot better , although it does not seem it is a big moment as you are discharged from one serious surgery but it is how you go from there and obviously some most even cases are different age may be a factor but i think lifestyle is also.
I also have EF in the 40s. Docs think I had a mini heart attack. I am on losartan and 5 mg bisoprolol. A few weeks ago I started a plant based diet. Almost vegetarian but I eat fish. My pulse is much lower. From 90s to 70s. I think my diet has greatly improved my heart health. I have another echocardiogram end of month. See if the diet has helped my EF.
