hi

I am new on here and was wondering if anyone can shed any light on this matter? I had Covid 19 On 10th November 2020 and took to my bed for 44 days,,I had 3 hospital visits for swelling in and around neck and stomach, had xray on day 6 which showed inflamation in lungs -go home take paracetomol,,, gradually moved to getting up and doing more each week, Then I started with neck swelling and stomach swelling, My legs hurt down backs on walking, But burn like ice on tops of feet up my legs at rest, as the Covid left me , I then realised there attacks of some sort

They happen on exertion - left hand tingles, I start cold sweating , chest starts crushing, pressure goes to my throat, then my jaw feels stiff, then the inside of my left arm aches , my arm feels heavy, then suddenly I feel weak all over, and feel sick, So I lie down, 8 mins and its gone.

I cannot walk up hill or any incline brings it on, Reaching up, Lifting, carrying things, bending over , lying down - throat pressure -crackling starts when I am breathing-worse on left side or led on back, mopping the floor is a no no, i cannot walk along way,, if I do too much the attacks come on quicker day after.

I have had chemical stress test- Failed -was put down to bad reaction to the chemical -even though the attack was the same as I get at home -I was sent home wouldn't do the MP scan, ECG- slight ST change, Second chemical stress test with different chemical under echocardiogram -BP drop but no attack

Echocardiogram- Normal

Paid to see very good Cardiologist

Angiogram catheterised - Normal

Doppler on arms and legs- soon to check for PAD

loop recorder implant on the 15th Dec

CT Angiogram on the 29th Dec

We have atherosclerosis down dads side & my Dad had a small stroke in first wave- found infarction in brain, they did Echocardiogram on him -Clear- Discharged

So no idea why, he has high cholesterol Mine was 6.9,,since then Ive lost 2 stone by diet alone,, Its now 5.2

Any ideas welcome, Every consultant i see for other problems due to covid say "Its your heart" I have no conditions prior to Covid contracted at work NHS

Jo xx

Hi paw2,Your symptoms sound very similar to mine, it's a possibility that you have Microvascular Dysfunction, or MVA which is quite often overlooked or misunderstood. Ask your cardiologist about it and possibly get referred to one who understands the condition?

Hope you get to the bottom of it!!
