Hello peeps, I'm just watching an episode (S4 E2) of Surgeons at the edge of life. Thought some may find it interesting to watch a mitral valve replacement. V interesting 👏👏👏😊😊

Hi Yes there has been 2 heart surgeries as there was 1 the week before. Its a brilliant program and the last series is worth watching too if you can manage to find on catchupIt's on tonight at 9 on BBC2

I watched it with a feeling of fascination and abject horror to realise what had happened to me !!!! Not sure I would have watched it prior to surgery 😂😂

I found it fascinating. I had mitral and tricuspid valves repaired three years ago and have often wondered what it had entailed. Like others, I’m not sure I would have watched beforehand. The few moments of mild panic would definitely have got me worried.
