Eczema and heart-healthy diet

9 months after my heart attack, I got nasty eczema all over my body including palms of hands and feet, and the scalp. It has now receded following dose of steroid pills. But researching what could have triggered this, I note there is much on google, including scientific research reports, about how a diet high in nickel can trigger eczema. Thinking about my diet, I note that in my attempt to change my diet both for heart health and to save the planet, I was ingesting too much nickel by July: oats, oat milk, tofu, buckwheat, wild rice, dark chocolate, nuts, and raspberries in season. I have now reduced these as I am afraid of the eczema coming back once I stop the steroid pills. Has anyone else experienced this ? I think there should be more warnings out there for heart patients trying to change diet !

Presume yoûre not on medication ? (I developed skin problems from some or a combo)

I am ticagrelor, ramipril, atovastin, lanzoprodil, aspirin, started in Oct 2020 but the eczema began only in July 2021 which is why I suspect diet rather than the pills

Reactions arent necessarily instant - for me anyhow. (I once for example - had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic which took a few weeks to show up as spots everywhere.) With drugs they can be cumulative. But try cutting out things in stages first and see . If your body chemistry changes you can also develop allergies you didnt previously have to things. Its unlikely to be instant though ! (Assume you've tried cutting out milk products.) Good luck.
