mood changes

did anyone experience changes in their mood/personality when symptoms first showed and even after getting an ablation? i’ve been dealing with anxiety and depression and aggression since it started. it has lessened some since my ablation 6 months ago, but i’m still going through it. some days are better than others. its been hard and i miss my old self. i’m wondering if it gets better?

It took a course of CBT to help me recover mentally from an emergency sternotomy. I was told “your brain is trying to work out what on earth has happened to your body” which helped me to understand the changes in my moods when they felt out of my control. I gradually changed my thinking as I learned more about myself and how the brain works. I was also greatly helped by using mindfulness ideas. You may find that worth looking into.
