Heart muscle damage

Hi , I had a heart attack in July, had unstable angina for 2 yrs which was misdiagnosed as muscular, but that another story. Today I was given results of my echo, I have muscle damage, and I'm really struggling to understand what this means? I'm hoping someone may be able to help understand in layman's terms what this means. Much thanks in advance

Thank you for your explanation, it is very helpful. I'm going to contact my cardiac nurse today to find out exactly what it means to me ! To be honest I convinced myself everything was going to be okay, so this was a difficult call, I don't think I really understood all the jargon either.
