I just wondered due to my recent ecg the cardiologist wants to rule out brugada syndrome. I had unexplained syncope in May and they keep mentioning having a loop recorder fitted. Anyway I just wondered if they can rule it out any quicker, I have 3 small children and I've noticed that I keep getting really big spikes and dips on my cardiogam app. For example was sitting watching TV HR was around 60 and then it went up to 193, only for about 30 seconds according to the app but does that mean it could be brugada? I know it's super rare and especially in females. I've just had a tilt table test which conclusively showed PoTs so I guess I'm asking is it possible I could suffer with both pots and brugada? Thank u

A few years ago I was also suspected of having Brugada Syndrome so much so my own GP mumbled something on the phone she had never heard of this particular condition. Like most people I started googling it and I wouldn't advise people to do this. I didn't find much info about Brugada even on BHF sites. It transpired I didn't have it and was then suspected of having angina which turned out to be Left Bundle Branch Block. Maybe some heart professional would be able to put your mind at ease but googling is not the answer
