Hello! I’m new to this excellent and supportive forum, it’s incredibly helpful and encouraging to read of other’s experiences. My question is:
I haven’t seen a dentist in 10 years since a friend’s husband nearly died following a visit and contracted endocarditis. My OHS should take place Dec/Jan all being well but I need to find a dentist in London( who will need to use antibiotics pre any treatment). I’ve a lot of calculus/ tartar to be removed and possibly 1 or 2 rotten teeth at the back. Any advice, suggestions welcome especially re new technology for stress free treatment. Thanks!

One important point is are you going to be NHS or private? When I commuted from 2001 to 2012 I found an excellent dentist a short walk or taxi ride from the city. I was an NHS parent but just checking they currently have a waiting list for NHS treatment. Obviously some staff will have changed on the intervening years.
I’ll find the money if I have to go private given the time constraints. I’m in North London, happy to travel to a decent practice. Just want to be safe with valve op coming up. Thank you.
