Had my heart attack 2 years ago did the rehab but then covid hit and have never been followed up since! Was told going through the menopause probably speeded up me having the heart attack! Well 2 years down the line still going through the menopause and having hot flushes and doctors just bot interested.

I’m 53 and going through the same , ha in April this year . I was speaking to a doctor on the phone a few weeks ago and begged for hrt she told me that due to the medication I’m on I can’t have it , I just have to suffer . Aye cheers for that !! I’m either sweating due to the heart stuff or sweating due to the menopause or freezing cold due to yhe blood thinners , there is no grey area .

Hi rycon. It sometimes seems that once a GP puts a label of menopause on your notes it is a catch all for anything subsequently wrong with you. If you feel something is not right for you, then you need to push hard to be seen and heard. I know it's not easy especially at those times we feel unwell. Is there another GP you could see that is more empathetic. Best wishes x
