To cut a long story short I get regular ectopic beats. Sometimes not so many and sometimes I have loads in a day. Anyway, about an hour ago I was standing next to partner in the kitchen calmly reading post then Bam! I had a paused beat but the pause was for what felt like ages! Probably lasted for about 5 seconds no kidding! I quickly felt my pulse in my neck and felt nothing then it came back and carried on beating as normal. During that time I felt a bit weird and funny headed. Not light headed or dizzy just "off".
This happened before but this has got to be the longest its happened for and I **** myself.
Has anyone ever experienced this? Ive had numerous tests over the past 2 years which have all come back fine and reassuring and that all is dandy and sometimes it just happens, its normal and deal with it. I take 2.5mg Bisoprolol too

Oh yes i sure know how they feel and they are beyond dreadful, every time i expect my heart either not to start again or implode. Mine end with tachycardia so rapid for several seconds the pain is dreadful. I have been having these alongside ectopic beats. I too have had lots of tests.
Of course when wearing a monitor for these awful pauses they havent happened. I am now awaiting a implantable loop recorder and my cardiologist says there is a new one coming shortly which also records ectopic beat burden. Hurray a chance of catching them at last and assessing their status to harm us or not. Good luck with getting yours caught via monitoring.
