Hi I hope someone can help as my son is desperate for answers, he was diagnosed with pericarditis in 2019 and had suffered on and off since, he is now 22 and has already lost two good jobs because of this illness, he’s had every test going and it seems that the doctors just don’t have any answers as to why this suddenly started from a healthy young man. nonone seems experienced about this condition. He’s In so much pain and going to a&e snd waiting for 8-12 hours o my to be sent home with anti inflammatorys really does not help. He has also had deep dark purple marks on his abdomen, backs of knees and underarms with bloating around his abdomen chest and face. We are at wits end what to do and it’s so frustrating to see a young man in so much pain and there’s nothing that can be done. I hope there’s some information I can get from this forum to help my son.
