Dull chest pain for several years

Hello,

Does this sound like pericarditis?

I have a dull pain in the left side of my chest for several years. It has never been excessively painful and often goes away for quite a while.

The pain can vary from a dull throb but more commonly if feels like someone is pushing a finger in my chest just above my left nipple. Occasionally at its worst I have a intense pain in my left armpit that feels like a hand crushing my armpit. This does make my left arm feeling very tender.

I number of years ago I did have an xray but did not hear anything.

This does seem related to stress, I have been dealing with the death of my mother, her dementia before that, my sisters death and like all of us, the vagaries of covid!

Thank you.
