Atenolol withdrawal time period

Got a request to help you, unfortunately I don’t have a sure answer. I started going off my Atenolol about 2 months ago. At the time my doctor gave me a small dose of another blood pressure med to use in place of the atenolol. Never told me how to go about getting off the atenolol. I had to research that. Started slowly reducing by about 1/4 every 2 weeks. My blood pressure has been increasing especially in the last 2 weeks since I quit taking atenolol all together. I have an appointment with his assistant Tuesday who will be checking my blood pressure, and may have new med increased, I hope.

I think there are many factors that go into how long the withdrawal lasts. Each person experiencing different outcomes. I don’t feel I am past the withdrawal.
