Afternoon Jane,

That’s great news, just a few months away, and then you will have a mended heart. Wonderful.

Take good care Pauline xx

That's such good news it really is. I am so happy for you. You must be relieved after all the uncertainty and minimally invasive too. 👍

I was in the exact same situation in March 2020 and had a Inspiris Resilia Valve fitted. I'm now 56 and life is completely normal with long walks and back on the Mountain Bike. The Min Invasive procedure left me with a small Scar which is barely visible now.

On the day of discharge I went to the pub with my mates!

If you want any advice I'm very happy to give it.

Take care.

Des

Hi. I have a few years yet, but in 2017 I had emergency open heart surgery as I had an aortic dissection. I also had my aortic valve replaced. I was told it would last around 10-15 years then would have to have a replacement.I was told it would be a minimally invasive procedure - not open heart again. Can you tell me what/how they do it please? Where is your scar? etc. I would be very interested to know.

Thanks so much

Denise
