Exhausting and strange episodes

Over the last 2 weeks I’ve started having these episodes that I’ve never experienced before. It usually starts with pain in my shoulder, face or numbness in my arm. And then it feels as if I can feel all the blood rushing through my arms and feels as if my heart is going to explode. But my heart is never beating fast, usually averages about 78 - 66bpm during these episodes which is my usual resting rate. My chest goes incredibly clammy all of a sudden, like literally one minute it’s bone dry and the next it’s drenched. I feel incredibly nauseous during it and can taste vomit. And then I feel incredibly fatigued. These have been happening more regularly lately. I initially thought it might be my anxiety but this does NOT feel like my anxiety at all. I have an Apple Watch and all my ECGs done on that have been Sinus Rhythm. Anyone else experienced anything similar or have any ideas on what might be going on. Unable to speak to my cardiologist until I have my exercise ECG.

Go to the doctor now! I don’t want to scare you but sounds no good and it is better be sure. My husband is 38 and he didn’t want to go to the doctor and he suffered minor heart attack. Please go a check, go to ER or Call and ambulance. Please do it

I’ve had an echocardiogram and I’m on a beta blocker. I think if I was at risk of a heart attack they would have known and a beta blocker will stop that happening?

Hi there,Don’t want to worry you but I had five stents after having a heart attack.

Eight months later I started getting angina symptoms again. Eventually I had an angiogram and it showed two of the stents were blocked back up and my other arteries were severely diseased.

That led to a quintuple bypass (CABG x 5) I was on all the medication after having my first heart attack including beta blocker.

It got so bad while I was in hospital waiting for the operation that I was put into intensive care with drips to keep me alive until I got to theatre.

Beta blockerHELPS to prevent a heart attack, it doesn’t stop one.

I am not a healthcare professional and have only shared my experiences, but if I were you I would be speaking to the doctor or give the BHF nurse a call and ask what they think.

Best of luck 👍

I’m sorry I don’t understand how that is supposed to be helpful at all to me. I’m 24 years old. I have had countless ECGs, I have had 24 hour and 3 day monitoring, an echocardiogram and blood tests. If something was wrong that required urgent medical attention I would not just be left like this. I don’t think it’s appropriate or helpful for people to be telling me that I’m having a heart attack or going to have a heart attack. If anything, it is making my anxiety worse which brings about the same symptoms. I think I’m going to leave this forum because, to be quite honest, I’m not finding it helpful and I don’t think it is the right place for someone as young as me to be. I am not going to have a heart attack. I’m pretty sure my cardiologist would know that. Thank you.

Nobody here can give you medical advice but from what I'm reading it does sound like it could be anxiety causing your symptoms, if all the tests so far have been negative at least major problems have been ruled out, unfortunately those of us with inconclusive tests results and non specific symptoms prove more difficult to diagnose, it took 6 years for me to get anywhere ! With hospital appts scarce and waiting times long we just have to try and relax and not get to hung up on every new twinge, just remember we are all going through it so understand what it's like.
