First post . As a result of a hernia op my heart went irregular for a while and a cardiologist got involved , I got a ecg and an echo and he seemed happy however he asked me to do a heart CT scan a week ago and he now has asked to see me (going private btw ) for a consultancy . I haven’t smoked or drunk for 17 years ( now 61) .
I was very uptight throughout the CT scan and had to get a beta blocker as was no way a pulse below 60. My head is now dong overtime as I have no symptoms and I’m sure as I’ve always had high cholesterol it’s a calcium issue as I can’t think why else he wants to see me . Surely it’s not to tell me I’m fine .
Thoughts appreciated

Don't borrow worry. It could be that preventative measures could avoid another heart episode, as you say, you have high cholesterol. A lot can be done now with medication, we all react differently. Some have hardly any side effects except keeping you well. Take care.
I heard back -it’s all happening . I’m under the care of a good cardiologist .After the hernia opp i had a irregular heart beat and my heart was echoed and we did an ecg , The doc was happy with these things but asked me to do a heart CT which I did . He called me this morning and said a small artery was not in great shape and told me to come in for an MRI heart stress test . Then we’ll decide once that’s done if it’s meds a stent or hopefully nothing ( long shot ) I’m reading much about natural remedies as cholesterol seems to be the challenge for me as weight , blood pressure , pulse are all ok although I do suffer from white coat which is a real pain . I wouldn’t have known I had the condition if I hadn’t had the hernia op .
I'm pleased they moved on this quickly, sounds like you are in good hands. All the best. Research on cholesterol , I read a book, foods that heal, foods that harm. So much can be done with tweaks in diet and exercise. Take care.
