Day 8 of our London to Birmingham walk

Our day started when we met the lovely Sue who has been following our journey, she very kindly offeted us a lift from the Travelodge in Dunchurch back to Braunston so we could resume our walk, not only that but she also made a donation, a wonderful lady who we are indebted to. We eventually got to Royal Leamington Spa after a really tough day. We were soaked to the skin cold and hungry. The tow path, especially on the oxford canal section, is dangerously neglected and overgrown, it made walking much harder, but we are here and tomorrow we will get to Solihull, so we are almost there...

An entire wheelbarrow of brownie points to the "lovely Sue", and congratulations to you both. So close now!

Well done to you both for achieving today’s walk in spite of the dreadful conditions. It was lovely to have met you both this morning and it was the least I could do to take you back to Braunston to resume your walk. My pleasure. Good luck for the last little bit and spending a well earned rest with your long lost brother. You have done so well and the end is on site. Sue
