Red Meat Intake Tied to Higher Coronary Heart Disease Risk
You'd think when doing a study like this, it would be worth differentiating between cuts of meat and heavily processed meat, but apparently not.
I agree with supafil. If it does not distinguish between high quality grass-fed beef and processed meats it tells you nothing. Is a higher consumption of meat correlated with a lower consumption of fresh fruit and veg? I'll carry on as I am, thanks, with locally-sourced meat, but in small quantities.
Have yo agree with Rufus. This being an American study the US does not have the same standards as ourselves in the uk 🇬🇧. A balanced diet of protein and vegetables is good enough for me. Especially Aberdeenshire grass fed beef 🥩
The article suggests a person may increase their risk of developing coronary artery disease if a certain amount of red meat is eaten.
