Have you got any heart condition? This purple colour might be a sign of blood circulation problem.

Just ask your GP what to do and forget about googling it.

Thank you, I have leaky heart valves, I’ve sent GP pictures but does not seem interested, he referred me to Rheumatology a couple of weeks ago for another pain related symptoms and he said they could perhaps look at it but could take 5 months for a referral to come through 😪

Good morning,

It might be worth calling 111 for advice if you’re not getting any joy from your GP. Remember to mention that this is a new thing.

The BHF help line is also an option: 0300 330 3311.

Hope you get it sorted.

Hi Skelson. I used to have the same problem and referred to Rheumatology. I was given Steroids which really helped. I had two 'leaky valves', Mitral and Aortic which I have now had replaced through OHS. Touch wood, I don't get it anymore. Not saying one little bit that this will be the case with you but it certainly needs to be investigated. I hope you can. Good Luck 💘

A redder colouration is sometimes down to Raynes Disease, worth seeing another GP All the best.

My daughter had the very same thing and was told it was a rare side effect of Ramipril which she had been prescribed. Her medication was changed and all is well now. Maybe it’s worth calling 111 for advice if your GP isn’t interested.

Wow thank you looks the same, I’m not in any medication at the moment but maybe a reaction to something I’ve started using or eating 😩 thank you I’m just worried it’s a serious thing to do with blood flow, oxygen etc x
