Had a call from the Pacemaker guys. They have been monitoring my dual lead CRT pacemaker performance over the last few weeks and are concerned about the performance of one of the leads.
The person I talked to was obviously trying to keep me calm whilst trying to explain a very complex situation. Most of it went over my head. My understanding is the the lead attaches to the heart with a three pronged claw device. signals to the heart can be sent down any of the three prongs, allowing the Cardiologists to fine tune the device. From what I can gather one of the leads is not communicating with the heart properly - perhaps it has come loose or has some other malfunction.
I have to go into hospital next week for an X Ray and to allow them to manipulate the lead, and perhaps send the signal down an alternative prong?
Has anyone else had this?
