unstable angina

i recently had an attack of unstable angina, its similiar to a heart attack the pain in the middle of my chest just went on an on. the end result is i had three stents in my graft, and three different blood thinners, and to rest for 4 to 6 weeks, three weeks in i was feeling ok, so went on a 10 mile journey to another hospital by taxi to see a ent consultant, i have a history of bleeding from the nose made worse by the blood thinners, i wish i had not gone, when i arrived my chest pain came back. so the ent consultant could not operate, i thought i was ok to travel but obviously not they wanted me in for the night but i said no. i am now back home on my pain killers,

note, unstable angina if it goes on long enough can damage the heart and is then treated as an heart attack

Hi. I’m new to this too but this Forum has been an excellent find since so many people share common experiences. I am currently undergoing testing for variant angina but the first thing my doctor gave me was a Triglyceral Nitrate spray (GTN) administered under the tongue when I feel a spasm happening. It gives instant relief. You didn’t mention you had a GTN spray and if not you should ask your GP to prescribe it.

Dis you have to discontinue the blood thinners before the op? It sounds like you possibly should. If so, sounds like you need to be in hospital before the op
