Hi all, I've been diagnosed with high BP following 3 bouts of pre eclampsia. I've been feeling really dizzy, had blurred vision and nausea.
I started ramipril 1.5mg last night.
Just wondering if I should do anything about how I feel or see how I go?

Are u feeling better? If not, please go to the emergency department and get yourself checked out. Or speak to a doctor right away.
Best wishes.
Sorry to hear that. Pre eclampsia needs to be kept an eye on. I'm assuming the ramipril was prescribed by your GP or obstetrician to drop your blood pressure. They should have told you any warning signs that need you to go to hospital. If you are still feeling unwell I'd contact your doctor or 111 initially.
Hello,
Do you mean you had pre eclampsia during your pregnancy and now after your baby has been born you still have raised blood pressure?
If you are still pregnant it is really important to tell your midwife if you have a headache, vision problems, dizziness, stomach pain or swelling of your ankles.
Please ring 111, or make contact with your midwife to be checked out ASAP.
I'd do as ling suggests. The effects might settle down, but it's worth talking to someone soon.
Hi all I went to A&E, luckily I am fine. I am not pregnant. My youngest is 19 months. I've been referred to a cardiologist. Fingers crossed I don't need to see them more than once either. Ramipril appears to be going well.
Thanks for getting back to me
I had pre eclampsia when I had my two boys some 26 years ago. Please make sure you keep an eye on your bp going forward. It turns out my bp was a always a little high and it has caused some damage to my arteries over many years.
Just see how you go and don’t worry about taking drugs if you need to keep your bp lower.
