Hi all

I've been diagnosed with a anxiety disorder recently and its driving me nuts.i have all the usual physical symptoms which are horrible.i have been to see a cardiologist which pretty most us do from what i have read online and he says as they all do that theres nothing seriously wrong with me.the one thing i did mention to him was after i eat my evening meal about a hour so after my hands go really sore and veins start bulging.is this normal?is this a anxiety symptom?does anyone else get this?only started a couple of weeks ago.i have also been falling asleep really early at night exhausted.any input into this would be a great help.

if you are in the uk you can self refer to the NHS Talking Space which is the mental health dept of the NHS. They will help with counciling or CBT or perhaps another type of help .

Your GP will probably refer you toTalking Space. It is quicker if you self refer. You can always cancel if you decide not to go ahead with it.

Anxiety is exhausting and with the added pressure of digesting food your body needs to rest .As for bulging veins I had that on my scalp after suffering a very traumatic event but not on my hands .I guess we're all affected differently. Try accessing some talking therapy via your GP or privately through the BACP website or Counselling Directory.

Hi Abarrie1976I found you're post quite interesting and has got me thinking.

A couple of years ago i took volantury redundacy from a job which i loved (steam boiler engineer)because the company was closing and moving.after that had a couple of subtractor jobs which i sent away for and on or two asked me to do.As i was saying about three of which were in the same company which had moved from EK to inchinnin 1st helped the company that secured the building i had stayed to one of the last there so only stopped for week or two one was in Dunfermiline with the same company again which i had no idea at first wasn't till i got method statement and risk assesments through! To get to what you where saying was that on th e inchinnin jib same compant again same peaople i knew from about a wear before with sub contractor driving cherry picker .Was on the ground at the time while one was up on the cherry picker and so called head of the other 2 i was working the contract with which was an english company whom had changed the method statement and risk assessment's that day when i was making sure no one walked under the gey that was working HIMSELF i may add when i heard a bang lokked uo and litterately say without being to graphic seen him lose one of his eyes which was horrific to say the least and then in this situation i would have to manually bting the carriage back down from the controls on the ground but he brought himself down with the contoller he had swinging all over the place. After that on the way home this so called boss called ne and said the job had finnished

which i thought would be the case and when it resumed he would call me!i have not heard anything since apart from me calling to see how he was .I stay in which i would say is a normal sometimes the same as any other town where growing up seen a lot of more violent things like i saw that day but it shook me that bad and i dont think i have beeen the same since!

The doctor said i had PTSD and very bad anxiety which i was given medication for ,the reason i am typing this is shortly after i starded having breathing problems and as to have regular asthma attack's when i was younger and lots of chest infection's thought this was the case. The Doctor also said this and prescribed an antibiotic.Anyway after three courses of this two woith steroids i still did noy get better wasmon the fourth visit late on a friday i called again just making it on time to get one of the last appointments when i went it was a stand in GP who i saw for about 5 mins before i was rushed into hospital with 150heart bpm which it stayed for days anyway found myself in the transplant ward of the second hospital was in after the first had don all they could .I had Chronic heart failure with cardiomegaly nd i think two accute events. I was eventually disscharged couple of month later after various medications a pump inserted to aid my heart and baby steps the doctors said .I have not had a definate answer to what may have caused this ,said obviously wher trying to help get better first dont drik dont smoke which i think may be 2 of the causes my mother has had a triple bypass so the doctors sent mo to get that checked found out it was not hereditory which was a releif to both me and my mum so was wondering how much of this was down to what i saw that day at work?may have been nothing to do with this as i felt very anxious before ,it certenly didn't help as no one at all has even asked me one Question at all about what happend that day so have had to keep it all in my head as did not know what to do at the time to which there was no easy answer as i dont know what happend afterwards seems it has all been swept under the rug so to speak!also have trouble speaking when i am feeling really bad so sorry about the 1500 words ha and all the spelling mistakes but just wanted to ask you and everybody else how much they thought if contribution this made!stay safe!
