Feeling alone

I'm beginning to think I don't have CAS as I don't seem to fit the 'norm' as I only seem to get pain when I go walking, climb stairs etc most people on here seem to get symptoms at night or when at rest. I really don't know what to think anymore, and I really don't know where to go with it. My depression is kicking in too which I know doesn't help.

Hi Snowdrops, sorry CAS stands for Coronary Artery Spasm. I feel my pains in the mid chest region and sometimes in left side of my neck and arm, but we are all different. I was diagnosed eventually in December 2020 after an Angiogram. Take care x

Thank you for your replies Snowdrops, much appreciated. I am already on a Diabetic forum but no one else seems to have CAS so unfortunately they can't really help. I have explained to UnderMilkWood about family circumstances so hopefully if you are able to see that, then it will help you understand a little more. I am not very articulate at times and have trouble finding the right words!

I don't know your family circumstances and not a Problem if you can't find the right words at times! The main thing I would do in your position, try stress strategies, write down what gets you stressed and work on solutions! Have a good cry helps too! We all have times where we feel overwhelmed, frustrated, sad, lonely notter! Health problems get us down at times and it's not easy to get hold of GPs or consultans! Take your medications , do what you can do! Making yourself over anxious with worry because of heart attacks in your family will make you worse emotional! Focus on each day!🙏

Just remember your first post! This would be good to catch up on for you as well! I had to, to make sense of your health issues!I would chase you cardiologist up and your your GP! THINK Milkfairy suggested write your symptoms down! Date, Time and Pain and where! That's what I would do!

I am not a doctor! But in your first post Milkfairy also left you some very good links notter! But don't stress yourself continuously with your health problems, okay! ???🙏💜 Look these websites up in your first post tonight and try and relax a little!🙏💜🤗

It sounds like "normal" angina - pain on exertion.

TBH I thought that before Angiogram. I was injected with Acetylcholine as the main Arteries were clear, I immediately got pain and discomfort and the cardiologist said straight away 'theres the answer' to his colleagues. So a change of meds, Adizem (1 a day) was given to me that day and Monomil upped from 1 a day to 2, Ramipril remained but others were removed as they were no longer useful. So as I said I really don't know what to think anymore. Am waiting to hear from the cardiologist as he said he'd ring to see how things were going after 3 months! But I guess at the moment nothing is working as it should! Thank you for the reply

Hi notter56

Snowdrops has given good advice and links here.

This forum is so friendly and knowledgeable. Feeling alone is hard to endure and with most of us still being in lockdown it feels that this tunnel is a very long one.

Make all the contacts you can. Phone a friend, or relative or a work mate. Don’t let the depression win.

For a chat about your heart condition the BHF Cardiac Nurses would be my advice. Their number is on the website. They will probably say that you will get a call back and they do this very quickly. Not sure if they work weekends but you could try them.

Good luck and take care of yourself.

❤️Maisie❤️

Thank you UnderMilkWood,

I think part of the problem is being Diabetic and having gastric problems that feel the same as spasms it is difficult to differentiate!

I know this will sound ridiculous but I live in a terraced house with 3 other members of family. So to say I feel lonely sounds a little odd even to me! I just don't get any peace to make private phone calls either sadly 😥 I guess I will just have to wait for cardiologist to get back in touch, sorry I guess I was just feeling sorry for myself I'm sure it will pass!

Why don't you use your private bedroom to get some peace notter and then make your important phone calls! If I had family here with me! I would do that! Find that space and solution notter! 🙏

If it's your heart your pain be in your chest, arm or jaw, also can be in upper abdomen! I would do a lot more research in your position notter! 🙏
