Changing meds

HA 6 months ago 3 stents. 55 min wait fir ambulance. Troponin levels over 27000. Treated at Southampton absolutely marvellous.

Went home to Essex. Had the usual stomach disturbances with meds. On Bisoprilol lanzaprazole candesartan rosuvastatin.

Busoprilol was doubled early on causing me a trip to A&E felt ghastly . Dose was halved .

Gradually started to feel ok. But very foggy headed. Breathless and uncontrollable diaorrhea.

I’ve tried to get my meds looked at but to no avail. Decided to go private last Friday. I think the cardiologist has misunderstood me. I thought the plan was to adjust one by one my tablets. He told me to start taking bisoprilol every other day for a week then off for two weeks. Giving me an email to contact him if I felt bad. On the day of the second no tablet day my blood pressure rose to 167/87 it scared me and I had mild tingling in hands and legs. Daughter emailed to see if all was well. It seems that he was taking me off BP tablet altogether. Not changing it for something else as I had thought.

I decided to take the Busoprilol again but it has left me feeling very dented.

Did this cardiologist think I had arrogantly decided I didn’t want to take these meds because I knew better than him?

It hadn’t even been clear on the day of appointment. I wondered why he hadn’t booked me in for a second visit. He did say he was requesting my Angiò results from Portsmouth but that was all.

So once again I’m feeling let down and unsure how to go forward. Having an innate dislike of offending a specialist or at worse being a nuisance.

I think that medications are starting to be dealt with by pharmasist specialists. This is a good idea but will take forever to switch over. Please remember that most medications take a while to settle in.

I am getting tired and a little breathless. Don't know if its a heart thing or stroke recovery. Both give fatigue. Probably just old age.

I too live in Essex. Apparently my area is fourth highest death rate from covid. So nhs is somewhat busy.

I dont do ill. But i guess i must attend hospital when called. Cataracts tomorrow, back to hospital. I wonder if they do season tickets.
