As mentioned in that thread, you need to speak to your GP. There is a tablet alternative but as the same drug is in both the tablet and spray you would need to find out whether the allergy is to the drug or to something that is in the spray formula itself.

That certainly is an usual and distressing side effect of GTN spray.

As others have suggested you need to talk to you GP.

There are other medications that can help with angina.

I don't use the GTN spray either as it works for me then makes my chest pain worse.
