Well I was put on Bisoprolol and then it didn’t agree with me I couldn’t breathe on it so they switched me to propranolol very recently and noticed the eye thing I even went to A&E because I thought my head was going to explode or something😂 the doctor even noticed that my eyes where really puffy but I think people have different side effects to different medications as I didn’t have it on Bisoprolol but do on propranolol

Oh god glad they changed it for u ,, yeah I was considering going it’s pretty scary as it’s your eyes , I had puffy cheeks but put it down to allergy’s so took a antihistamine ,, yeah I guess that’s true side effects are different for diff people suppose it’s a good thing they wasn’t concerned about the eye thing like nothin dangerous x

Hi, I am on bisoprolol but a very low dose of 1.25 in the morning and evening, so any of the more serious side effects I may not experience. The NHS website has some info on this medication, nhs.uk/medicines/bisoprolol/

Your eye swelling could be from your very high bp, which is stroke level, and if lasting too long, can cause damage to organs.

Hope you are much better now, and your bp is under control

Ahh Oki i really hope you do not suffer any side effects hope ur 1 lucky ones 🤞,, thank you so much I will take a look at that i generally don’t read as suffer with anxiety n always think the worst silly I know but suppose I’m puttin this in my body .

Yeah I have been very lucky and the drs acted fast and gave me 2 bp tablets and injection within the hour of been seen

I didn’t really have symptoms of high blood pressure was juz generally fatigued but just thought that was down to all this corona as had work from home so was just stuck in 4 walls daily like a lot of other people

Yes thank you I’m feeling a lot better just had few off days where It spikes but it’s keepin at 140-150 still high atm n just the eyes are so bugging , but yeah You could be right with eye swelling hopefully as my bp goes down and a bit longer on medication will start to ease off

Thanks again

Julie :) x

Hi Julie, great to know that you are much better. 😊 I am on 3 meds for bp and still get crazy readings of 152/105 sometimes, even late evening, at night 2am, and even early morning! However, I have discovered that our bp does vary quite a lot during the day and even night. One minute it can be these highs, and 5 minutes later it can get quite normal and even low. A few days ago my bp was 99/70 at 8 pm! If our bp is always too high, or too low, for a period of hours or days, then it could be an underlying problem.

Best wishes

Andy

Thank you Andy :) ,, oh wow I struggle on 1 lol may I ask how long have you been on them with it been a low dose ,, oh really so that’s normal if it keeps flunctuating , I’ve found my highest is around midnight so I tend to take my medication around that time but I read on that website to take in morning so not sure wether to change or leave as it is ,, oh no hope you are ok now isn’t that too low and make you dizzy and stuff if I hadn’t read this and saw that that I woulda panicked I’ll take note of that tho that it can change and not to expect it to be same all the time , thanks again much appreciated:) x

This link is from one of the best companies that make blood pressure monitors, Omron. They give quite a detailed account and chart of how and why our bp changes during the day/night. Hope it helps you. omronhealthcare.com/2019/04...

Hey again just needin a little help again ,, havin some issues woke up with sweats and anxiety and did my blood pressure was 120/73 which is my lowest when yours went low did u experience this also my readin on oximeter is oxygen 95 n heart rate 66 , not sure if normal or should I consult my gp not sure if just avin a bit of a flap coz of it x

in reply to tigerjuz86

120/73 is normal blood pressure, not low: anything between 90/60 and 120/80 is considered normal, but between 120/80 and 135/90 is also considered fine. Any heart rate between 50 and 100 is normal. Sats of 95% and above is also fine.
