Blue finger disease

I have had blue foot disease for many years... but now I also get blue finger disease (aka peripheral cyanosis).

If I wear my watch loose when I walk, it does not record my pulse rate - but when it is tight enough to read my pulse rate, my mouse-wheel finger goes cold, numb and blue (decades ago, my right shoulder seized up when I was using a mouse for Computer-Aided Design (CAD) - so I have used my mouse left-handed ever since).

If I loosen my watch strap and massage my hand it comes back to life eventually!

My pacemaker kicks in when I sleep - but it does not seem to help when I am at my desk. I have just done an ECG, and my pulse if 57 - the pacemaker is supposed to keep it at at least 60.

It will not let me upload the ECG - but the "R" peak is missing on 3 of the complexes, there is a stage squiggle it some of the S-Ts

Honey, I'm afraid I don't know anything about your condition, but surely these discrepancies should be reported to your medical team? Sincere best wishes.

Hi there. Your pacemaker doesn't know if you're asleep or awake, it will kick in if needed at any time. Mine is set to 40, so 60 sounds quite high to me, but I'm not an expert!

Smart watches are notoriously unreliable, and yours could well be missing 3 or 4 beats per minute, so I'd rely on your pacemaker to be acting correctly.
