Back Pain after HA in October 2020

I have a terrible sore back since having my HA. Sometimes it feels postural and I get relief if I put a cushion at my back. I also sometimes get a sharp pain right through centre of my back between my shoulder blades , happens at rest as well as when moving . Paracetamol doesn’t put either away.

Does anyone else have this ?

I'd be inclined to take a squirt of the gtn spray just in case it's angina. I'd also discuss it with your GP or consultant. My HA started with back pain similar to what you've described and I get angina like that too. But we're not professionals, just people with experience, so please get it checked by someone qualified to tell you for certain...

H, I get a similar pain ,but always left side and occasionally centre of upper back . Its worse when standing or on the move a lot or during a longish walk. I have sufferd back problems all my adult life but mostly lower or neck area . When its really bad my left arm gets kind of heavy and sorish. Im just worried that its something related my recently diagnosed cardiac artery spasms ( vasospastic angina). Its not too bad when Im resting or sleeping. Im trying resting it and heat treatment ,but if that doesn't improve it ill try the GTN spray ( hate that thing) and try to get a docs appointment.

Good luck.

Thank you . I get in when laying in bed and also sitting. It eased when I walk about the house and I can do an hour cardio without pain but sometimes very slight occasional pain in back . Cardio nurses say it’s not got an Angina pattern . Best I speak to Dr

Hi

I agree with Snoweybm. I was getting back pain just as you describe and as an ex PE teacher would put it down to posture or muscle strain after golf or walking. I then had a heart attack and was told that the back pain was angina and my body giving a warning. Try using the GTN spray and discuss it with your GP.

Best wishes
