Ty new chapter in our life
Congratulations!
Sounds like it might be right up my street as I am still mainly use a wheelchair as I am having issues with the stump/prothesis. And I need to get outta this DTA bed!
We downsized to a one-level home in autumn 2018 and it's been fabulous, one of the best decisions we've made so far. Enjoy your new home - new chapter indeed!
Good luck in your new home, enjoy. Ruth
Wishing you all the best in your new home, I would absolutely love a bungalow, the stairs are hard going at times and my only loo is at the top, there are hardly any where I live and I couldn't afford to buy, a pipe dream as ma mum says (not quite sure what it means) just that I will never get one π€£take care char
The expression 'Pipe Dream' means an unattainable or fanciful hope or scheme. I always imagine it to be caused by smoking ' waccy baccy' or something similar.ππ
I am that's why I got a letter of my heart nurse than got my name down for a council bungalow ππ
It's brilliant you have got one, I keep meaning to check the councils Web site, you used to have to go into the town hall but I doubt you can do that now, it's just the town I live in has very few bungalows, I would say roughly only about 10! In the town centre, chances of getting one would be pretty slim, I am sure there will be a huge waiting list for them, they look lovely and a nice quiet location, I do think the councils fall down big time in providing housing for people with health conditions, especially when stairs are a problem, char
I've waited 18 months in area where I am there's loads of bungalows
That wasn't too bad, I think it would be years here, the council just built loads of flats in the 60's and 70's a lot of them need taken down now, not much land left for houses particularly bungalows, even when private builders built a lot of small estates they only built houses and flats, I have been here most of my life I don't want to move anywhere else now, as us locals say, no one moves into the town and no one moves out!, affordable housing and good transport links, it's not all bad, I hope the move goes well and once you are organised you can enjoy your lovely new home, so jealous char
