I have had a pacemaker since last September when I had an aortic valve replacement.

Did your AVR put you into A.F. ?I thought that I had checked every everything before my operation but missed that around 35% of us go into A.F.

No I was lucky in one way I didnt go into A.F but I do suffer from 3rd degree heart block due to the operation so I am paced at 100 percent and 40 odd percent in one chamber which there is a 3 to 6 percent of it happening.I was spoken to about irregular heartbeats but didn't really understand until now.
