Today is 13 weeks after my heart bypass, unlucky for me a snowy, cold, icy start to WK2 Run1 of the C25K programme.
💪 I completed my run but my hands were frozen by the end!!! Managed the longer duration running periods OK but found it difficult to concentrate on the new breathing technique introduced, will try again on Wed... hopefully a tad warmer weather please!! 🙏

Blimey your a brave soul. I went out yesterday very cold wind but not as bad as this morning it's rough here in Derbyshire today! Lets hope Wednesday is better eh? Good effort!
Cheers... don’t know about being ‘brave’ but certainly felt ‘blimey’ out there today! Well done to you too for getting out yesterday, I was out walking 13km so know it was near enough similarly cold... let’s hope Wed is better or less icy which I’ll take!!
Thank you. I’m sure you will make up for it when conditions are right, we all inspire each other differently and it’s never a race! Keep going and stay safe...
It’s not my technique... it’s the app/programme which directs you to try breath in for 4 steps and breath out for the same during the ‘run’ components, not used to that and struggled to maintain that and the cold didn’t help either so will try again tomorrow!
Wow, you are a role model for Bypass and so brave to go out in the -7 cold air. Be careful not to push yourself too far and now I will have to go for another walk as you have just given me a kick up the backside 👍
Thank you for your kind comment. Please don’t use me as a benchmark, we’re all so different with different conditions so please only ‘do’ what is comfortable to you... I’m a northerner so used to inclement weather!! 😁
