Walking
It's a very good start and well done for getting into a regular routine.👍
I think it is (and it dependsd on what you were doing beforehand). I started in earnest after I came out of hospital early December and started on 3,000 per day increasing it weekly by 500 per day and am now aiming for 7,000 per day which usually takes about an hour. Can't manage every day owing to work and weather (don't mind the cold but hate it when it's raining) but can usually do it at least 4-5 times per week. Well done, keep it up.
I think it is fantastic that you are working on your fitness.
In the year after my first HA’s I managed to increase my walking from literally a few steps (approx 1000) up the lane each day) to about 10,000 steps a day by the end of the year.
Now, five years later, I regularly walk 25,000 steps up on the moors, with a lot of hills, and have never felt fitter.
My baseline for a week is 70,000 , but most weeks I am around 100,000.
Personally I find walking those distances much easier in the Spring and Autumn. I have Vasospasm and struggle in the Summer with the weather being the greatest challenge in the Winter.
Yes but rehab IME put the emphasis on length of excercise. I guess because some people walk slowly. I was lucky to have brilliant rehab.
Yes it is great. Keep it up and your body will slowly and subtlely remodel itself. As long as you feel happy about your progress you will enjoy being out and about more and more. Well done.
