Hi all,had a stemi in July 2019 and 4 stents fitted, had another her heart attack in September of last year and had a triple bypass.Been having some chest pain lately and after some blood tests got a phone call to get checked out in A&E.Had an ECG and more blood tests and chest X-Ray.Lovely Dr told me it wasn't a problem with my heart but probably osteoarthritis of my Sternotomy scar.Has anyone on here ever suffered from this.Seems I will just have to put up with it.Happy that it's not my heart again.
Thanks,Kieran.

Hi Kieran. Not had it myself, but sorry you've got this probable diagnosis. That's the trouble with heart failure - it almost inevitably leads to other problems!Keep an eye on your chest pain - it may be something else. Stay safe xx
I had a triple bypass in 2018 and still have chest pains, but they are nothing to do with my heart. They are purely muscular and actually come on when I am sat resting. A bit of a massage helps provide relief. I wonder whether you have tried massage to see whether it has any effect.
Hi,will try that.Just started to take Amlodopine and that reduced pain very much.I'm taking it for blood pressure but it also helps with Angina.Maybe that's what my problem is.Thanks,Kieran.
Hi Kieran - yes indeed, it may be angina. See how it goes I suppose. I'm taking a small dose of Losartan to keep a lid on my BP and that suits me fine. I am allergic to Amlodipine.... one of sevberal on my list! All the best, Gerald
