Can Losartan cause overheating? Every year I have more and more trouble with hot weather and feel really bad if I get too hot by exercise or even sitting in the sun, which I love.
I thought it might Losartan and decided to halve my dose from 50 to 25 mg. Minimal effect on BP after 4 months still around 130 135 over 80 85 but I noticed my asthma had got worse and thus was stopping me exercising. Have just restarted 50mg and asthma immediately better but now I feel dizzy which I hope will pass when I get used to it again. In normal times I'd see a doctor...
I’ve been on Losarton for years and I have never had an issue with overheating. I feel the cold and wear thermals and thick jumpers all winter. I live in the south east about 23 miles west of London where we usually have pretty mild weather.
It’s very important to try and get you BP down which is why you’ve been given Losarton.
If you feel it is giving you issues then you need to speak to a doctor at your GP surgery.
Hi, I’m on Losartan 100mg, and asthmatic, taking Symbicort 400/12 turbo inhaler.I started losartan last year in February at 50mg then it was increased to 100mg in April. I did notice a slight change in temperature during the summer but nothing too extreme. My bp stays around 121/78-128/78. But I am also on Diltiazium. What are you taking for your asthma. Maybe a phone consultation with your doctor? 🌷
