When I had my second AVR op for some reason they did an “exploratory incision” in my groin, they never did explain why as I was having open heart surgery, but as a result they did some nerve damage. My leg was absolute agony to move and they eventually gave me gabapentin, which is a painkiller for nerve pain. Worked really well too. Leg still has numb sensation in that area and doesn’t like cold weather. Might be worth giving your GP a ring to discuss.
Mine took quite a while to recover, although as I said the inside of my thigh is still slightly numb, so I think it will always be like that now. It did take quite some time for it to stop feeling sore in cold weather, but is fine now. Hope your leg feels better soon.
My angio was done into my wrist . They couldn’t get beyond half way up my arm , then they entered the groin way . All well there , however the pain that lasted in my arm continued for 6/7 weeks . It did eventually settle , thank goodness. So it might help to know that .
Thanks my last two were done through the wrist and all was fine but this time through the groin my leg just aches and feels weak and tired but it is improving as the numbness has went might just need to build it up again
