I have been having chest pains and a feeling like pressure on my chest with short of breath, I went A and E where they do an ecg and chest xray and the doctor examined me and said I angina and my blood is not pumping right.
I was refer to my G P for more test and to see a cardiologist what I'm still waiting to do because I have not received any date as yet for the test.
I'm so scared I can't sleep at night because I'm so worried.
Can anyone out there can tell about this ,,and what to expect so I can put my mind at ease even for a little while until I saw a cardiologist.I don't have high blood pressure but when test it,it was 150/90 and I also have fluid in my lungs.
Thanks to you all.

You have done all the right things. Firstly you have started the process by visiting A&E and also seen your GP. That is more than many would have done in these strange times. If the doctors in A&E and your GP were very worried about your condition they would have referred you to a cardiologist straight away and put you on the emergency pathway. So they were not too worried about your condition so you can be reassured.
Christmas and New Year together with Covid may delay things a little but if you are worried then give your GP a call to explain how you are. AND of course if you every have sever chest pain then 999 is the way to go.
I hope you get seen soon and wish you well.
As per the above reply, some good advice there. Watch out for dull back aches and aches in the side of your neck. These can also be angina. If you were given a gtn spray don't be afraid to use it. They'll sort you out so don't worry.
I'm really sorry to hear of your situation. When you were at the hospital, did a cardiologist speak to you? When I've been to a hospital they have done.
As others have mentioned, they must not be too concerned - or it's likely, based on my own experiences, they would have kept you in.
If you have the budget, I suggest arranging to see a private consultant, as they can normally see you very quickly, and that speed can put your mind at ease to an extent. This is what I have done, and although it costs quite a bit, in my case it has been worth every penny.
well i had heart attack in nov and had stent fitted well last night had chest pain so rang 111 they phone ambulance at 8pm there till this morning cardio saw me and says its normal to have pains in chest but could possibly be unstable angina is this possible after a nstemi with a stent fitted just scared like poster now
Hi djleighp, three stents fitted in august, back in the hospital with severe chest pains, diagnosed with unstable angina, gtn spray and a months supply of Isosorbide Mononitrate, ok so far.
Thanks everyone for your advice, I was back at A and yesterday ,order from my GP saw two different doctors who are now saying it's not angina it's palpitations (my heart is racing too fast) and it's muscle pain in my chest gave me medication to slow it down and send me on my way and I should follow up with my Gp for more tests and get a referral to a cardiologist.
