When I was diagnosed with kidney failure I was warned about the problems in getting treatment right with heart failure complications. I thought I was doing so well but now I feel as if I'm on a see/saw toing and froing. My Bumetanide was reduced just half a tablet to give my kidneys a chance as I was in stage 4. But sadly the fluid buildup started again. Tops of my feet, hands and tummy. So I've gone back to the 4 Bumetanide daily but trying to half Nebovolol and maybe Losartan. Thankgoodness they send a follow-up letter. These nurses are amazing! But I can feel my heart fluttering again and it hasn't done that for a long while. So its back to the drawing board starting with bloods (ive just had done) and an ecg next. Anyone else in this dilemma?

Hi love101cats, not had anything like you dilemma, it sounds b***dy awful. I admire your positivity, keep it up 😊
Hi there. Yes, I have kidney failure and heart failure as well as a couple of other problems lurking around. My feet swell up so easily and it’s uncomfortable but I don’t want to increase my diuretic either! I take an extra one if it is really bad, otherwise, I try to get my feet up high and my husband sometimes massages the fluid away which also helps. It is a real dilemma. Keep being positive and minimise swelling by not sitting or standing still for too long at any one time. Put your feet up..you deserve it!
