Just had positive covid test. 59 years old and had 2 stents fitted in March after heart attack. Anyone with any experience of covid after heart attack?

That’s hard. Are you at home? I hope you are getting some good medical advice?

Hi Kristin. Yes - at home. Just got Covid results yesterday. Have got used to having strange feelings in my chest but this is different. Know a lot of it will now be anxiety but fingers crossed it doesn't get any worse x

Oh gosh Kristin said that’s really hard. What you have been though this year is hard enough to cope with. Be guided by your body your the expert when it comes to it. If in doubt keep getting advise. Let us know how you go on

Thanks Collie. I rang my GP for advice yesterday and was referred to the local Covid Clinic and then sent to hospital where I had ECG and Chest X Ray to rule out blood clots. I think many of us know the anxiety that comes with feeling unusual pains in our chest. Having previously been one to not really seek medical advice and believe things would just 'sort themselves out' and not seeking immediate medical advice when I had my heart attack I have certainly learnt my lesson. Was just so relieved to get out of hospital last night so eill hopefully just take it easy and get this virus out of my system 😊

Yes though I’m new to this journey I’m like you never bothered GP. That’s good your GP followed this up so quickly. I can understand your anxiety being in Hospital it’s everyone’s dread at the moment but you did the best thing. Your right to rest up and you know where here.

Take Care
