Scapular dyskinesis post bypass

Hi,

After having my heart bypass in Feb and having back and shoulder pain since it was diagnosed today as Scapular dyskinesis.

Apparently it's quite common after chest surgery and I have been prescribed physio and acupuncture.

Has anyone here had this issue and how long did it take to resolve? I find painkillers don't really help but a hot water bottle or heat patch does so if anyone who has had this issue can offer any suggestions I would be very grateful.

Thanks

I suffered pretty badly with shoulder pain in both shoulders, was not diagnosed as Scapula Dyskinesia, I had restricted movement in both arms when raising them or putting behind my back.

I ended up having cortisone injections in both, followed by physio exercises, took 2/3 months to get back to normal, but no problems since.
