Has any one suffered from tachycardia post covid.

I had covid a 5 months ago( no hospitalization but took 2 months to get better) with no preexisting heart diseases. I am 50 years old female with no prior heart problems or risk factors and been fit active and healthy.. 2 weeks ago sudden episode of tachycardia , shortness of breath and pressure in chest,. went to A.E. they ruled out myocardial infarction and P.E and referred to arrhythmia clinic. Ecg was tachycardic but no abnormal rhythm. I was still unwell as no meds were given in A.E. was confined to bed n moving about was sending heart rate up. Gp started bisoprolol 1.25 mg. bit better but still get intermittent jolts type feeling n sometimes palpitations. waiting for investigations. It has been truly frightening and has come out of nowhere and I feel afraid to do anything in case it will set my heart off. still getting used to sideffects of bisoprolol too.

Ask them to check for postural tachycardia syndrome (PoTS). There is a lot of info on the PoTS UK website. There seems to be a lot of post covid cases.
