Brugada syndrome and afib

Hi,

I was just after some advice.

I was diagnosed with brugada syndrome in February and have just got a blood pressure monitor.

This morning it showed the afib symbol and I had a slight tight chest should I be concerned?

Thanks Richard.

Hi Richard sorry you didn't get any replies from this forum when you posted yesterday. It's possible that noone had any advice. I too have Brugada syndrome and it seems it can be hard to find information and advice when you want it. I thought I'd message to ask how you are after yesterday's experience?

Hi, thanks for the reply and that's ok I was just concerned when I seen it, I feel better now tho I think I'm getting stressed in work and not sure if it's due to that.

My smart watch says I'm stressed in work but even when I'm home and sitting down my smart watch says take a break.

You could have a chat with your doctor and ask for some advice. It’s hard to unwind when work is stressful, and the doctor/consultant could give you exercise/lifestyle/meds advice that’s specific to you .

I have to admit I don’t use a smart watch or anything that keeps track of my heart etc as I know I’d find that a big source of stress. My consultant says that’s fine for me at present, but it’s not necessarily for everyone and your consultant might say differently to mine.

Anyway I’m glad you’re feeling ok now 😊
